Case Study - Dr Sarah Crick
Growing a business that’s as brilliant as the night sky.
Dr. Sarah Crick isn’t just an astrophysicist and science educator - she’s a true example of how building genuine connections can help a business thrive and grow. Since joining Pink Coral in January 2024, Sarah has been at the heart of the community, making incredible collaborations, supporting fellow members, and growing Mission Astro and Just Good Science in ways that feel natural, exciting, and totally her.
A community that shows up (literally!)
If there’s one thing about Pink Coral members, it’s that they show up for Sarah - again and again. Most of us have attended her stargazing events in Hartley Wintney, helping her with market research, supporting her on the day, and watching in awe as she brings science to life. And it’s not just about business - it’s about trust. When Sarah needs something, she turns to her fellow Pink Coral members first, because she understands the value of working with people she knows.
Connections that have grown her business.
Sarah has made so many amazing connections in the community and they’ve all played a part in her business growth.
Victoria has worked her magic styling Sarah’s hair and coordinating the hospitality at Sarah’s huge stargazing events.
She’s found a Virtual Assistant to take some admin tasks off her plate and help prepare for important expos.
She’s collaborated on incredible STEAM kits with Farrah and Jane, blending art and astronomy.
Justine and Katerina have captured her events and products through their stunning photography.
Charlotte analysed her colours, helping her feel even more confident in how she presents herself.
She even found her accountant at a Cuppa & Connect event.
And let’s not forget – she tutors a number of Pink Coral members’ kids!
A true community superstar.
Sarah isn’t just in the Pink Coral community, she’s an active, supportive, and engaged part of it. She’s been to nearly every single in-person event since she joined (no, really), and she’s a regular in our virtual coworking sessions too. If you’ve ever popped into the WhatsApp group with a question, chances are Sarah has been there to offer advice, share insights, or just be that supportive voice we all need from time to time.
Why Sarah is the perfect example of a thriving solopreneur.
Sarah is proof that when you surround yourself with the right people, magic happens. She’s grown her business, deepened her connections, and built a network of trusted collaborators - all within the Pink Coral community. She’s unique (just like her business), and watching her thrive has been nothing short of inspiring.
We can’t wait to see what she does next - but one thing’s for sure, whatever it is, she’ll have a whole community behind her.
Why she loves Pink Coral.
Sarah sums it up perfectly:
“Working at home on my own during the daytime trying to build my business was really lonely and demotivating. From the moment I met Nikki, her warm nature, proactive attitude and abundant kindness made me feel instantly at ease. The group of women that Nikki has gathered in the community are some of the best humans I’ve ever met - all incredibly supportive and equally brilliant in their own businesses. I count myself utterly lucky to have found this community - my business literally wouldn’t have grown to where it is today without it! I joined pink coral for a bit of company, but I ended up finding my business family. Joining this community is the best business decision I made in 2024!”
