Work From Home, But Not Alone

There’s a whole section of women who ended up freelancing because they had kids.

It’s the age old tale that you need to work, but you need to be able to do the school runs or cover the holidays. Paid employment doesn’t always cut it so you make the crazy decision to work for yourself.

Working for yourself brings a level of freedom. You can do what you want, when you want and you don’t have to report to anyone.

But over time it can also bring loneliness, isolation. The realisation that besides chit chat in the playground you haven’t spoken to anyone properly for days.

I love working for myself, I love working from home. But I had that moment of realisation that I was becoming more isolated and I needed to change that.

That’s why I started hosting virtual coworking sessions. It came from a purely selfish place that I needed to get my work done but I also needed some company.

From there Pink Coral Community emerged. It’s a community of people that get it. That understands the juggle, the pressure, the mental load that comes with being a mum and a freelancer.

It’s made me happier, more fulfilled and more motivated.

It’s also helped me have the best of both worlds - working for myself but supported by a group of amazing women who are there when I need a boost, both online and in-person.

If you’ve talked to the cat more than other adults this week, then you need Pink Coral Community.

P.S you don't have to be a mum to join us!
